Gator Advocates

Gator Advocates is the University of Florida’s formal grassroots advocacy program advancing the University of Florida’s educational and land grant mission through advocacy, education, and communication. Launched in 2009 under the name “Gators for Higher Education,” the program now has close to 5,000 unique members.

During the legislative committee weeks and legislative session, Gator Advocates receive regular communications from the Office of Government & Community Relations about legislative initiatives and activities. Year-round, information about UF’s research, rankings, and events is shared with Gator Advocates.
