Every fall, the University of Florida proudly hosts the UF Campaign for Charities (UFCC), an initiative dedicated to raising funds for local nonprofit organizations focused on health and human services in Gainesville and the surrounding areas. This campaign offers UF employees a simple way to contribute through payroll deductions, cash, check, credit card, stock transfer, or payroll deduction.
Since its inception in 1993, the UFCC has provided a powerful means for making a significant impact in our community, donating nearly $29,000,000 back to area charitable organizations. Funds raised through the UFCC benefit a diverse array of regional agencies offering essential services such as child care, recreational activities, counseling, legal assistance, environmental conservation, disease prevention, and medical support. Additionally, many of these agencies collaborate with UF to fund research aimed at curing diseases and enhancing the quality of life for those affected. With such a broad range of services supported, it’s likely that each of us has been touched by at least one of these organizations.
