CiviGators Internship Program
The CiviGators Internship Program connects University of Florida students with hands-on learning opportunities in local municipal government and public service organizations. Designed to strengthen ties between UF and the surrounding community, this program gives students the chance to gain real-world experience while contributing to projects that make a local impact.
Launched as a pilot in Spring 2025, the program is co-administered by the UF Office of Government and Community Relations and the Bob Graham Center for Public Service. Beginning in Fall 2025, the program will follow a two-semester format, running from September through April, to allow for deeper engagement between students and host organizations.
Internships are structured to align with the academic calendar and can include placements in city and county governments, local agencies, and public service organizations. Students benefit from professional development, networking opportunities, and mentorship throughout the program.
