Shelby Beck currently serves as the Federal Relations Associate for the University of Florida’s Office of Federal Relations. Shelby works to administratively support the university’s federal lobby team, and assists with policy and program research, events and scheduling, and coordinating the office’s Washington Internship Program. Prior to taking on this position, Shelby served in the office as their Washington Internship Program student in Summer of 2023. After the completion of that internship, Shelby graduated from the University of Florida Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Environmental Science in August 2023. She is currently enrolled in the university as a Master’s student and serves as an Events Coordinator on the DC Gator Club Executive Board. During her undergraduate career, Shelby interned at every level of government and worked as a Research Assistant in the Soil and Water Sciences Lab where she assisted on a paper that she was later credited as a co-author on in Journal of Environmental Management. Shelby currently resides in Washington, DC.
