Ellie Zweifel

Public Relations and Marketing Specialist, Government and Community Relations

Ellie Zweifel serves as the Public Relations and Marketing Specialist for the University of Florida's Government and Community Relations office. In her role, she coordinates special events, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and projects involving elected officials and community leaders. She helps lead the University of Florida Campaign for Charities, developing strategies to increase participation and engagement across campus and within the broader community. Ellie supports GCR's Washington, D.C., and Tallahassee teams on projects and initiatives that advance UF's engagement with policymakers and stakeholders, including signature events such as Gator Day in Washington, D.C., and Tallahassee.

Prior to joining the University of Florida, Ellie spent three years with Northern Trust as a Senior Investment Associate, where she supported portfolio managers and wealth advisors in serving high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. Her experience in wealth management strengthened her skills in relationship management, strategic planning, financial analysis, and client service.

A proud University of Florida alumna and former student-athlete, Ellie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and competed as a member of the Florida Gators Women's Swimming and Diving Team. She earned SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition and developed the discipline, leadership, and commitment to excellence that continue to guide her professional career.

Ellie remains actively involved in the swimming community and is passionate about giving back. Having spent part of her childhood in foster care, she raises funds through distance-running events benefiting organizations such as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), which provide advocacy and support for children navigating the foster care system.

Outside of work, Ellie enjoys running, yoga, traveling, supporting Olympic sports, and spending time with her dog, Phil.
