Sara Bremer is the Assistant Director of Government Relations, responsible for planning and implementing state-level legislative and public policy strategies in advancement of the university’s priorities.
Prior to joining UF, Sara spent nearly thirteen years at the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers association, most recently as the Deputy Director of Legislative Services, responsible for the coordination and execution of legislative policy initiatives in support of Florida’s locally elected Clerks and Comptrollers and their professional teams.
Sara also worked with U.S. Senator Bill Nelson in both his Tallahassee and Washington D.C. offices, and brings a strong foundation in the workings of the political process.
Sara graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in French. She also holds a Master of Science in International Affairs from Florida State University.
A sixth-generation Floridian born in Gainesville to a proud Gator family, Sara was raised in Madison, a small town in North Florida, and currently resides in Tallahassee with her husband Martin.
